About the c.a.s.e collective

The c.a.s.e (critical approaches to security in Europe) collective is a forum for different scholars working critically in the field of security studies to meet and confront their work. The collective is composed of confirmed scholars and ph.d. students of the discipline. In addition to regular meetings and the setting up of a website (www.casecollective.org), c.a.s.e has so far worked on an innovative and original project. This is the participative writing in a collective piece, “critical approaches to security in europe – a networked manifesto” which was published in Security Dialogue in December 2006 (Vol. 37, No. 4, pp. 443-487). More than 25 authors collectively wrote the article, which constitutes a unique endeavor in the field of International relations. Subsequently, the Manifesto has initiated a fruitful debate through the publication of the three Responses (Security Dialogue 2007, Vol, 38, No. 1, pp. 95-122). The aim of this landing page is therefore to account for these debates triggered by c.a.s.e.
