SAGE To Publish Legends In Marketing

First volume to publish February 2010

Los Angeles, London, New Delhi, Singapore and Washington DC (15 October 2009) —SAGE’s Indian publishing unit has commissioned Legends in Marketing: an 8 volume series providing insight and historical perspective into some of the greatest marketing thinkers of the-- twentieth century.

Marketing as a discipline has been in existence for close to a hundred years. The series will feature analysis of a broad array of marketing disciplines, including consumer behaviour; international marketing; managerial marketing (early years and current perspectives); organizational buyer behaviour; and relationship marketing.

The first volume (publishing February 2010) features marketing legend Dr Jagdish N Sheth. Dr Sheth is the Charles H Kellstadt Professor of Marketing at the Goizueta Business School at Emory University. He has also taught at the University of Southern California; the University of Illinois; Columbia University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Professor Sheth has worked for numerous industries and companies in the US, Europe and Asia. His clients include AT&T, BellSouth, Cox Communications, Delta, Ernst & Young, Ford, GE, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Nortel, Pillsbury, Sprint, Square D, 3M, Whirlpool, Wipro and many more.

Subsequent volumes will also feature Philip Kotler; Shelby Hunt; Kent Monroe; Gerald Zaltman; and Naresh Malhotra (2011 volumes to be confirmed).
