Direct Behavior Rating (DBR): An Emerging Method for Assessing Social Behavior within a Tiered Intervention System
Guest Editors: Sandra M. Chafouleas, T. Chris Riley-Tillman, and Theodore J. Christ
DBR combines the positive aspects of several established behavioral assessment systems, and allows for frequent monitoring of the effectiveness of behavioral interventions. Thus, it is an ideal approach to assess the effectiveness of tier 3 behavioral interventions. This special issue provides the conceptual foundation for DBR, demonstrates its use across various settings and behavioral difficulties, and provides data to support it psychometric adequacy and clinical utility.
Assessment for Effective Interventions provides critical analysis of practitioner-developed assessment procedures, as well as papers that focus on published tests. Features articles that describe the relationship between assessment and instruction, introduce innovative assessment strategies; outline diagnostic procedures; analyze relationships between existing instruments; and review assessment techniques, strategies, and instrumentation.
