The International Political Science Review is the journal of the International Political Science Association. IPSR is committed to publishing peer-reviewed material that makes a significant contribution to international political science. It seeks to meet the needs of political scientists throughout the world who are interested in studying political phenomena in the contemporary context of increasing international interdependence and global change.
The fifth issue of each volume is devoted exclusively to review articles by leading experts in the subfields of greatest interest to the readers of IPSR.
IPSR reflects the aims and intellectual tradition of its parent body, the International Political Science Association: to foster the creation and dissemination of rigorous political inquiry free of subdisciplinary or other orthodoxy. It welcomes work by scholars who are focusing on currently controversial themes, shaping innovative concepts and methodologies of political analysis, and striving to reach outside the scope of a single culture.
"The IPSR has become a focal point for the serious exchange of scholarly materials and research as well as the most ecumenical in terms of geographical community, methodological orientation, and theoretical preference. For scholars who want to engage their work with others in the field, the IPSR is now one of a small number of essential journals". David Apter, Henry J. Heinz II Professor Emeritus of Political Science and Sociology, Yale University, USA
"IPSR uses its international standing to access contributions from all over the world. Providing a rich mix of comparative, international and transnational issues, this lively journal encourages new research, new perspectives and new authors." Susanne Hoeber Rudolph William Benton Distinguished Service Professor of Political Science, Emerita, University of Chicago, USA
"The IPSR embodies IPSA's commitment to globalizing political science. Its often fascinating achievements in doing so concerning the domestic, comparative, transnational and international aspects of our field deserve wide attention." Hayward R. Alker
