John Couchman

Dr. Couchman is a Danish National Research Foundation Professor at The University of Copenhagen. A graduate of the University of Wales, UK, he has been a Professor at The University of Alabama at Birmingham and Imperial College London, before relocating to Denmark in 2007. He is a cell biologist with a research interest and over 150 publications in cell adhesion, signaling and the cytoskeleton.

In addition to being the Editor-in-Chief of The Journal of Histochemistry & Cytochemistry Dr. Couchman is on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biological Chemistry and a contributor to Faculty of 1000. He is a past recipient of an Established Investigator Award from the American Heart Association and past Chair of the Pathobiochemistry Study Section of National Institutes of Health.
