About the Book
The Second Edition of Social Work in Health Care is a revision of a text for courses on social work and health care. It is a comprehensive look at the industry from its historical development to its current status. It pays particular attention to four domains of health care and the role that social workers can play in these roles in the present day and in the future. This text is thoroughly updated to include developments and shifts in the industry as well as the new EPAS focus of evidence based practice and critical thinking. A new area of focus is the recent developments in healthcare reform and new policies affecting HIPPA, Medicare, Medicaid and more.
