Author Details

Dr. Eoin Devereux is Senior Lecturer in Sociology and Head of Department at the Department of Sociology, University of Limerick in the Republic of Ireland. He is the author of Understanding the Media (2003) (Reprinted 2003, 2005 and 2006) published by Sage: London and the editor of Media Studies: Key Issues and Debates (2007) also published by Sage: London.

His current research interests include an analysis of Morrissey's fandom and the role which the media play in the formation of public opinion about immigrants.
