| Tom Burns is a Senior Lecturer in Learning Development at London
Metropolitan University, specialising in devising and delivering study and
academic skills programmes, resources and staff development sessions. He
has been a lecturer in education, literature, media and sociology and a producer
of high quality teaching and learning resources (his video 'Take
Control' won the IVCA gold award for education).
Sandra Sinfield is Academic Leader in Learning Development at
London Metropolitan University. She has developed a range of study and
academic skills courses and teaching and learning resources, is a moderator
for the Open College Network London Region, is a founder member of
the Learning Development in Higher Education Network and is part of
the Learn Higher Centre of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (www.
learnhigher.ac.uk).
