February 2007 | 152 pages | SAGE Publications Ltd
`A valuable resource for all primary practitioners. This covers everything from turning on the computer, to the history of Government funding for ICT...I would recommend this as a valuable addition to staffroom resources and a friendly and accessible reference for trainee teachers' - TES website

`I have really enjoyed reading this book, it is written in a clear, non-patronising way and the use of technical jargon is avoided. The information given is really informative and the activities are ones I could genuinely use during an ICT lesson' - Janine Thornhill, Higher Level Teaching Assistant (with ICT specialism)

Looking for an easy-to-read guide to embedding ICT within the primary curriculum? This book is packed full of practical examples and suggested activities to help the busy teacher or teaching assistant.

Great information, Easy to read and some good activities to follow. I like how it expands on ICT into other areas.

I wanted to use this book as a resource for my undergraduate students who are going to be primary school computer teachers (also called IT teachers), however the book provides very basic and simple information on ICT. When we consider the current generation of kids, most of them already know about these things. The book should cover more advanced applications with the presented software in the book. Anyone can easily find the information in the book through searching the internet.

This book is useful for practitioners working in the field of primary education. For students it is interesting to see activities that can be used to support ICT.

A useful and engaging, simple text which looks at activities to do and how they link to the curriculum which supports the primary and older early years use of ICT
