Sue Barker

Sue Barker is a Senior Lecturer in Nursing in the School of Health and Social Care, Bournemouth University. She has been a mental health nurse since 1985 and has a broad range of clinical experience. She started lecturing in 1998 combined with ongoing clinical practice. In 2004 she became a full time Senior Lecturer but holds an honorary contract with a local healthcare trust. She develops dementia care workshops for health and social care practitioners and leads a unit focused on dementia care for undergraduate mental health nursing students. She has published a number of books and journal articles in the areas of psychology, mental health and emotional care.
