Barnabe D'Souza Don Bosco Balprafulta and Don Bosco Research Centre, Mumbai, India

Barnabe D’Souza, PhD, was the Executive Director of Shelter Don Bosco (SDB), Mumbai, as well as the founder and driving force behind “Maria Ashiana,” a Don Bosco therapeutic center in Mumbai. He is currently Director, “Balprafulta,” a child rights organization. He holds a masters degree in Social Work from Mumbai University and was teacher and vice-principal of Don Bosco High School (1982–85, 1993–94). Dr D’Souza was awarded PhD degree from University of Coventry, College of Worcester, UK.

He has more than two decades of experience in working with marginalized children and has authored several publications till date.
